Company DescriptionNovotel Melbourne Glen Waverley is a successful 4.5 star hotel comprising 200 guest rooms, restaurant/bar & conference facilities, situated in a bustling business district and at the gateway of the Dandenong Ranges!Job DescriptionReporting directly to the Conference & Events Manager, your strong administration skills and precise eye to detail will ensure the smooth running of our Conference and Events department.What you'll be doing:Assist in the preparation and follow up of conference proposalsActively listen to clients and understand their needsAssist with the formulation of quotations for conference proposals covering venue, function, menu and accommodation costsCoordination and production of conference collateral materialCollaborate with multiple hotel departments for each events' successType correspondence, memos, Banquet Event Orders (BEO's), Daily Event Sheet, Forecast and reports as assigned and distribute according to Hotel standards.QualificationsSuperior time management and organisational skills, including ability to work under pressure with competing deadlinesExcellent attention to detail and methodical organisational skillsInitiative to seek solutions strategically where problems existService drivenA creative flair to assist with design of conference collateralWorking knowledge of Opera Cloud (desirable)Additional InformationWhat is in it for you:Training & development within an experienced team environmentCareer opportunities within our hotel and/or the Accor GroupWorldwide Accor Hotel accommodation discounts, free on-site car parking, yearly free 1 night's accommodation plus moreFree onsite duty meals and car parkingOur commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:We are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.Why work for Accor?We are far more than a worldwide leader.
