Job Description

The Mercure Townsville is on the hunt for a creative and energetic administration expert to support our Sales team. Your strong administration skills and precise eye to detail will ensure the smooth running of our Conference and Events department.
Assist in the maintenance of our conference database of key contacts/clientsAssist in the preparation and follow up of conference proposalsActively listen to clients and understand their needsAssist with the formulation of quotations for conference proposals covering venue, function, menu and accommodation costsCoordination and production of conference collateral materialCollaborate with multiple hotel departments for each events' success Qualifications

Superior time management and organisational skills, including ability to work under pressure with competing deadlinesExcellent attention to detail and methodical organisational skillsInitiative to seek solutions strategically where problems existService drivenA creative flair to assist with design of conference collateralWorking knowledge Opera computer system (desirable)Sound computer skills in the Microsoft Computer Suite Additional Information
