Job Description
The Conference and Events Operations Manager is responsible for the seamless execution of a multitude of events including functions, dinners, expos, and conferences. Success in this role is the ability to manage a team of food and beverage attendants to execute phenomenal service in Brisbane's largest hotel conferencing operation, working collaboratively with other hotel departments including the Sales and Kitchen teams.
What you will be doing:

Lead, mentor, and train a team of food and beverage ambassadors.
Ensure client expectations are met, delivering a service that exudes luxury and aligns with Sofitel brand standards.
Collaborate with other hotel departments to strategise on new product and service offerings.
Promote a strong Heartist culture and a team that is focused on providing unforgettable experiences to our guests.

Qualifications
You'll excel in this role if you have:

A luxury service focus is essential.
A degree in hospitality management, event management, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in conference and events management, preferably in a luxury hotel or similar environment.
Proven track record of leading and motivating a team to deliver exceptional results.
Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and achieving financial targets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, team members, and vendors.
Strong networking skills with proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
Experience in building a strong team culture.
A record of high performance and achievement.
