About the Role:As a Condition Assessor, you will lead the inspection, evaluation, and reporting on various building elements and construction materials. This role is pivotal in maintaining high standards for asset management and safety across QBuild's portfolio in Queensland.
Key Responsibilities: Perform detailed condition assessments of building elements, coordinating the inspection process, and collecting asbestos samples for testing;Research and update asset data to produce thorough, high-quality Maintenance Assessment Reports;Stay up to date with asbestos handling regulations, Codes of Practice, and compliance guidelines, recommending strategies for effective management;Estimate accurate pricing for identified maintenance needs and provide guidance on best practices in cost estimation;Conduct asbestos validations, audits, and ensure all updates to the Built Environmental Management Information Register (BEMIR) are accurate and current;Identify maintenance risks that may impact facility operations and provide solutions, including detailed scopes of work with indicative costs.Required Experience and Qualifications: Construction industry trade qualification is highly desirable;Current Workplace Health & Safety General Safety Induction Card;Solid experience in building inspections, maintenance assessment, and asbestos management;Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and Codes of Practice;Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear recommendations and liaise with clients and subcontractors;Willingness to travel frequently across the Central Queensland region.Benefits: Work on meaningful projects that impact local communities and support public safety;Competitive remuneration with potential for long-term career growth;Flexible, regional-based role with opportunities to travel within Central Queensland;Access to QBuild's extensive resources and support in delivering high-quality assessment services;Collaborative work environment where expertise and safety are valued.If you're ready to make a tangible impact through building assessment and compliance, apply now to join QBuild's dedicated team as their next Condition Assessor.
