About the role We are seeking an experienced Concreter to join our operations team based in Olympic Dam. While we primarily work at Olympic Dam, there are also opportunities to be involved in other projects at various locations.
You will be responsible for managing all onsite concreting works competently and appropriately. Oversee team members to ensure all tasks for concreting works are planned and completed to a high standard. Additionally, coordinate daily tasks and prepare for each project, providing project management support to the team in conjunction with Operations. This role is critical to creating a high-performance on-site team to ensure RMA concreting work meets our standards.
Responsibilities: Concrete labouring, preparation, forming, steel fixing, leveling, site preparation, screeding, and finishing to a high standardOn-site liaison with head contractorsCollaborate with the team while working unsupervisedAssist with concrete provision for private, commercial, and government clientsKey Qualifications: Experience in finishing concreteWHS White Card holderReliable and hard-workingPhysically fit and healthyHigh attention to detailTeam-oriented with the ability to work unsupervisedEssential construction trades experienceAbout You: Experience in on-site team leadership or management within the industryComprehensive knowledge of all aspects of concretingAbility to manage daily projects and provide direction to team membersStrong leadership and mentorship capabilitiesSelf-motivation and a commitment to high standards within time constraintsAdherence to RMA policies, procedures, and codes of conductEngagement in Work Health, Safety, and Well-being initiativesPhysical and mental capability to perform duties effectivelyCommitment to ongoing skills developmentMaintenance of the organisation's image and alignment with RMA's vision, mission, and valuesAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsPlease note, Olympic Dam is a strictly no smoking site and requires all to abide by a clean-shaven policy.
