About the role
Nuform ACT is seeking a skilled Concreter to join our dedicated team in Canberra. With both full-time and casual positions available, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced concreter to contribute to the successful delivery of our projects.
What you'll be doing
The successful candidates will be responsible for a range of concrete-specific tasks including site preparation, formwork, steel fixing, concrete pouring, and finishing. The role requires high attention to detail and an ability to execute concreting tasks to a high standard.
What we're looking for Previous experience as a Concreter with a strong understanding of concreting techniques.Strong physical fitness and stamina to perform physically demanding workAbility to read and interpret construction documentsKnowledge of formwork, steel fixing, waffle pod slabs, pouring, and finishing methods.Commitment to working safely and following all relevant safety protocolsExcellent problem-solving and critical thinking skillsReliable and punctual with a positive, team-oriented attitudeACT General Construction Induction Card (White Card).Completion of Asbestos Awareness and Silica Awareness training or willingness to complete before commencement.Reliable transport.
Key role responsibilities: Prepare sites for concreting, including setting up forms and removing debris.Construct and dismantle formwork, including tying reinforcements (rebar) as per project specifications.Pour and spread concrete using appropriate tools and equipment.Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete using various techniques.Monitor curing processes to ensure concrete sets properly.Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tools, equipment, and work areas.Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
