We provide genuine work life balance with options to suit everyone.  Your responsibilities will include: The Computer System Architect will actively contribute to the objectives of Engineering & Technology (E&T) by supporting the complex ICT Infrastructure of various Lockheed Martin Australia (LMA) Programs and wider business. The Architect will develop and design the overall architecture for computer systems, including hardware, software, networks, and data storage components. You will work with small teams to complete application, development and infrastructure deployment related activities supporting the Business line and E&T objectives. In this role you will: Coordinate deployment, configuration and initial application package instances including patching of infrastructure. Capture and guide functional requirements and recommendations in architecture design, development & integration of new ICT system features into existing infrastructures while maintaining integrity & security of enterprise-wide ICT infrastructure. Review and improve preventative maintenance schedules for virtual and physical supporting infrastructure. Coordinate root cause analysis and rectification of problems via Problem and Change Management process. Support, develop, review, and improve key metrics capturing systems performance, capacity planning and system health status. Configure, install, and operate virtual platforms and infrastructure IAW DSPF/ISM/WoG SOE and industry best practices. Actively participate and contribute to business continuity/disaster recovery infrastructure planning, documentation, and testing. About you: To be successful in securing this position, you will have demonstrated skills and experience within the below areas: Experience working in an engineering project environment (preferably within the defence industry). Significant experience in the administration, configuration, deployment, management of virtual infrastructure. Significant experience in the administration of large, complex ICT System solutions for defence environments. Significant experience in supporting, investigating, diagnosing, and resolving ICT related technical issues for physical, virtualized environments, applications, varying OS, and database systems. Well-developed analysis skills with an ability to develop and evaluate alternatives to determine best value based on customer-driven objectives. Familiarity with industry-standard architectural frameworks or methodologies, such as TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF, the Model Based Systems Engineering Method and subsequent decomposition of ICT based engineering requirements is highly desirable. Degree qualifications in a relevant Engineering Discipline. An Australian NV-1 security clearance and ability to access/handle Export Controlled technology, data, and information.
