We don't rest because health doesn't.
Our Switchboard operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ensuring that our community has access to the assistance they need.
Within a single 24 hour period, our Switchboard Service team answers and redirects approximately 1000 calls, keeping things running smoothly for our patients and staff.
When the seconds matter most, our Switchboard Services team is responsible for coordinating the notification of Emergency Response codes.
About the role We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Switchboard Operator to be part of our team, ensuring seamless communication and efficient services around the clock.
As a Switchboard Operator, you will be at the forefoot of our communication network, responsible for maintaining high-quality and efficient services.
The Switchboard is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and it is expected that staff are available to be rostered on a 24 hour, 7 day rolling roster.
All staff at GV Health will be required to assist in the training of new staff members.
This will aid in the continuity of service with GV Health.

We are looking for: Ability to provide an efficient and courteous response to all telephone calls (using best practice techniques), and redirect calls appropriately Experience using a Switchboard or in Health Information Systems Demonstrated ability to organise tasks and environment with minimal supervision and under conditions of competing demands Capacity to interact professionally with staff and consumers and maintain high levels of confidentiality and patient privacy Position Description: CLICK HERE If qualifications are a requirement for this position, please attach a copy in support of your application.
