Expression of Interest: Compounding Technician
We are seeking expressions of interest for multiple positions within our compounding team. Based in Brunswick, these roles offer on-site training with great opportunities to develop your career in a stable industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a special person who is enthusiastic about making a difference and doing something that really matters. We are looking for a great team player, positive attitude, flexible and adaptable.
You will be working one of three available shifts, Monday to Friday with flexibility to perform overtime as required. The main purpose of this role is to support the aseptic production process manufacturing Chemotherapy, Antibiotics and Nutritional products for hospitals throughout Australia. Candidates who are looking to start their career in pharmaceuticals are encouraged to apply as full training will be provided.
Note: Training/orientation will require flexibility for approx. 3-5 months with shift times ranging between 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
Duties & Responsibilities:
Picking and preparing raw materials
Aseptically compounding (mixing) sterile solutions
Packing of finished units for each order including final inspection of products
Labelling, inspecting, and dispatching of prepared products
Ensuring documentation is completed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
Adhering to Baxter's Standard Operating Procedures
Contribute to Baxter's full inclusion and diversity culture
All required training, Uniforms/PPE provided
Essential skills & qualifications
Enjoy work that requires a high attention to detail
Be comfortable working within a cleanroom environment (Compounding Technician) for most of your working day
Be highly productive
Demonstrate a good understanding of basic mathematics
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Be flexible across shifts within the operational hours
Experience in pharmacy, manufacturing or warehousing would be an advantage but not necessary
Tasks involve manual repetitive handling and dexterity
Previous manual compounding experience highly regarded
This role is subject to the following:
A pre-employment medical including stringent vision screening (GMP requirement), background and reference checks.
