In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient installation, commissioning, and operation of machines within the composites team. You will play a crucial part in process qualification and documentation, ensuring successful project delivery and operational excellence. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will solve technical challenges and contribute to the smooth execution of composites projects at AMRF.As a Composites Development Engineer, you will develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the composites team, support equipment maintenance, and identify improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. Staying updated on industry trends and advancements in composites technology, you will drive innovation and competitiveness. Adhering to all safety protocols, you will ensure a safe working environment.Demonstrable experience delivering high-quality design engineering projects compliant with project objectives, quality and customer expectations, safety and environmental standards, time, budget, and resource constraints.Hands-on experience working with composites manufacturing processes in an industrial setting, particularly in ply cutting, prepreg layup, filament winding, and compression moulding.Working knowledge and understanding of 3D design and simulation software, and technical drawings per ASME Y14.5 or AS1100.Ability to manage the complexities of composites manufacturing processes and equipment, requiring in-depth technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring smooth project execution.Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to safety protocols.Proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity in the composite's development process.What is an essential requirement:Tertiary qualifications in engineering, industrial design, or related disciplines, or demonstrated, equivalent, relevant professional experience and training.Join us at BDA and be a part of a team that is driving the future of advanced manufacturing in NSW!
