Job Description
Grow your career with a global retailer as a Compliance Specialist - Sustainable Packaging within the Sustainability department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This is a 24-month contract opportunity.
As a Compliance Specialist - Sustainable Packaging at ALDI, you will play a crucial role in the achievement of ALDI's packaging commitments by collaborating with stakeholders on a national level and implementing systems to ensure compliance with our standards.
Oversee and coordinate ALDI's packaging recyclability compliance to ensure alignment with our sustainable packaging commitments. Conduct reviews of packaging recyclability non-compliance during the ALDI due diligence/clearance-to-supply process. Prepare detailed recommendations and actionable insights for buying teams and suppliers, ensuring alignment with ALDI's sustainability guidelines and providing recyclable alternatives that enhance compliance and reduce environmental impact. Oversee the supplier action plan process by creating and managing action plans, collaborating closely with buying teams, and ensuring that supplier partners implement and adhere to sustainable packaging practices. Prepare and present regular packaging compliance reports to provide visibility into progress and highlight areas for improvement. Leverage these insights to inform decision-making and strengthen compliance efforts across departments. Conduct regular audits and reviews across ALDI departments to identify opportunities for process improvements. And the best part? Qualifications
Experience and knowledge in packaging and sustainability. Demonstrated experience conducting recyclability assessments within the PREP tool. Understanding of relevant packaging regulations. Ability to communicate technical information to both internal and external stakeholders. Ability to apply sustainability principles and concepts in a business environment. Data driven with strong analytical skills to provide recommendations on initiatives. Additional Information
