Our client is an abattoir based in Echuca who are looking for a Compliance and Safety Officer to join their team.
Job Purpose: Our client is committed to maintaining a safe and legally compliant workplace, ensuring that all operations align with regulatory standards.
They are looking for a Safety and Compliance Officer to oversee these critical areas and help foster a culture of safety and accountability.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
Ensure the organization complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Advise management on safety and regulatory compliance issues.
Investigate accidents or incidents and recommend corrective actions.
Provide training and guidance to employees on safety and compliance standards.
Keep up to date with changes in safety legislation and industry best practices.
Maintain safety records and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications and Experience: Health and safety qualification Experience in a safety and compliance role.
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
Strong problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
Key Competencies: Attention to detail and ability to identify risks proactively.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
