In everything we do, we take an approach to protect, grow and innovate WA's economy, community and environment.About the opportunityDPIRD's Governance and Standards team is seeking to establish a pool of suitable applicants to fill Level 4 Compliance Policy Officer, and Level 5 Senior Compliance Policy Officer positions.There is currently one (1) permanent - full time Level 4 Compliance Policy Officer position available for immediate filling, with other vacancies anticipated to arise in the next 12 months.As a Level 4 Compliance Policy Officer, you will be key in shaping and enhancing our operational policies and procedures that enable the effective delivery of compliance services. You will assist in implementing projects that support the achievement of the team's objectives, assist with the preparation of operational policies, procedures, and instructions for Compliance Officers, and assist with reviewing, monitoring, and implementing legislation.As a Level 5 Senior Compliance Policy Officer, you will research, develop, monitor, and review operational policies, procedures, and instructions for Compliance Officers, and assist with the review and amendment of legislation, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in policy development within a complex operational environmentProven ability to interpret and apply legislationThe ability to identify trends and issues and make recommendations for ongoing improvementHighly proficient planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet strict deadlinesHow to ApplyClick the Apply button and attach the following to your application:A comprehensive CV that highlights your skills, experience, and achievements including details of two (2) referees.A cover letter of no more than two (2) pages in length demonstrating how your skills, knowledge and experience relate to this opportunity.As there are multiple levels being advertised, please clearly state which level/s you are applying for in your cover letter.
