About this position We are seeking a Compliance Officer responsible for ensuring adherence to legislative and regulatory compliance.
In this role, you will Investigate alleged regulatory breaches of planning, building and local law requirements Conduct private swimming pool and spa inspections to ensure compliance with the Building Act and Australian Standards Provide accurate, timely, and customer-focused advice on compliance matters What we are looking for To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate: Ability to interpret and apply various legislation and write reports with recommendations Well-developed oral and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relations Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques and ability to employ them Knowledge and experience in the use and understanding of computerised business systems including electronic records and complaint management.
A commitment to confidentiality and integrity Background in compliance within a local government environment would be well regarded but not essential.
Essential requirements Current driver's licence.
Current National Police Clearance (no older than three months).
