Apunipima Cape York Health Council – Cairns QLD Apunipima Cape York Health Council is a community controlled Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health service, which provides culturally appropriate, family centred, primary health care services to the communities and people of Cape York.
About the role The Compliance Officer plays an integral role in coordinating the contractual, legislative and compliance of Apunipima's service and program delivery.
As part of the Quality and Compliance team you will assist in ensuring that Apunipima's organisational processes, policies and procedures align with current best practice service delivery models.
About You To be successful in this role you will have: Extensive experience in a contract administration role with a focus on compliance and reporting, including financial acquittals Extensive experience coordinating comprehensive activity reports with multiple stakeholders Specialist knowledge of funding contract management, particularly in a health care setting Ability to establish, maintain and review reporting systems in a complex service delivery environment Ability to provide support to internal and external stakeholders related to funding agreements, activity work plans and reporting.
The ability to interpret, communicate and apply legislation Knowledge or the ability to gain the understanding of accreditation standards as they apply to the community health sector, including, but not limited to ISO 9001:2015 and HSQF Ability to work independently with limited supervision, and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and prioritise and meet deadlines.
Understanding of the historical and contemporary issues that impact on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and their communities, particularly in Cape York.
Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in accordance with community protocols and customs.
Demonstrated understanding of the principles of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community control.
Must be willing and have the ability to travel in Cape York either by light aircraft or 4 WD as required.
Mandatory requirements: Bachelor's degree in law or commerce, or Diploma of Contract Management, or other equivalent qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
Australian Federal Police Check or willing and able to obtain one.
Current Queensland Drivers Licence.
Current Blue Card positive notice or exemption, or willing and able to obtain prior to commencement.
