Apunipima Cape York Health Council – Cairns QLDApunipima Cape York Health Council is a community controlled Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health service, which provides culturally appropriate, family centred, primary health care services to the communities and people of Cape York.About the roleThe Compliance Officer plays an integral role in coordinating the contractual, legislative and compliance of Apunipima's service and program delivery. As part of the Quality and Compliance team you will assist in ensuring that Apunipima's organisational processes, policies and procedures align with current best practice service delivery models.About YouTo be successful in this role you will have:Extensive experience in a contract administration role with a focus on compliance and reporting, including financial acquittalsExtensive experience coordinating comprehensive activity reports with multiple stakeholdersSpecialist knowledge of funding contract management, particularly in a health care settingAbility to establish, maintain and review reporting systems in a complex service delivery environmentAbility to provide support to internal and external stakeholders related to funding agreements, activity work plans and reporting.The ability to interpret, communicate and apply legislationKnowledge or the ability to gain the understanding of accreditation standards as they apply to the community health sector, including, but not limited to ISO 9001:2015 and HSQFAbility to work independently with limited supervision, and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and prioritise and meet deadlines.Understanding of the historical and contemporary issues that impact on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and their communities, particularly in Cape York.Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in accordance with community protocols and customs.Demonstrated understanding of the principles of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community control.Must be willing and have the ability to travel in Cape York either by light aircraft or 4WD as required.Mandatory requirements:Bachelor's degree in law or commerce, or Diploma of Contract Management, or other equivalent qualification or equivalent relevant experience.Australian Federal Police Check or willing and able to obtain one.Current Queensland Drivers Licence.Current Blue Card positive notice or exemption, or willing and able to obtain prior to commencement.What We Offer:Competitive salary range - $94,142 - 104,229 + 11.5% superannuation contributionModern facilities and resources5 weeks annual leave & 17.5% leave loadingGenerous salary packaging of up to $15,900 per yearInduction, professional development and learning opportunitiesEAP programOur CultureApunipima, meaning "united - all in one" in Injinoo Ikya, was conceived at Pajinka near Injinoo at the tip of Cape York.
