Reporting to the Managing Principal Officer, the role will assist with the management of delegations, preparation and updating of risk registers, and the management of IBAC's internal compliance obligations arising under legislation.Duties Include:Maintain IBAC's statutory reporting registers and records systems, and undertake audits of records relating to telecommunications data and interception and the use of surveillance devices, assumed identities, and controlled operations.Prepare reports and draft and maintain policies, procedures, and systems in relation to IBAC's use of intrusive powers and compliance with legislative obligations.Provide training, guidance, and support to IBAC staff in meeting their compliance obligations.Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets the needs and expectations of stakeholders, enhancing the reputation and respect of the legal and compliance team.We Are Looking For Candidates With:Understanding, or ability to quickly acquire, knowledge of IBAC's compliance obligations pursuant to relevant legislation and other instruments.Knowledge and experience in effective compliance and/or auditing mechanisms and processes.Well-developed communication skills with the ability to analyse facts and remain objective, to liaise and negotiate effectively to address stakeholder issues.Demonstrated ability to produce compliance reports, policies, and procedures that are clear, pertinent, and accurate.Experience in monitoring stakeholder compliance, identifying issues, and working to improve compliance outcomes.Application Process: Your application is a two-step process.
