The Paneltec Group are seeking a Compliance Manager (WHSEQ) to join the Management Team in Launceston. We are seeking an experienced WHSEQ professional , preferably with 5 years or more experience working within the civil construction, underground utility, mining or building industries to fill the position.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Develop, implement and coordinate WHSEQ programs and systems to meet our company's objectives & legislative requirementsAbility to encourage a strong safety culture; identify & coordinate training gapsIdentify risks, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and monitor outcomesIncident management; coordinate and conduct investigations to find the causes and identify mitigation strategies to prevent re-occurrenceMonitor and continually improve policies and proceduresConduct return to work coordinator activities to ensure injury management, and return to work programs are managed effectivelyWork in the field among the crew; on-site compliance, site inspections and conduct Toolbox Talks promoting safety awareness throughout the site workforceReport and maintain registers in the officeUndertake annual safety audits and coordinate annual third-party audits for safety, quality and environmental requirementsSchedule and organise plant and machinery repairs and maintain associated data basesAct as the companies dedicated IMS representative About you You have a strong bias for action, a self-starter, focused and results and solutions-driven with the desire to make a positive impactCertificate IV, Diploma or Degree qualifications in WHS. Cert IV or ICAM accredited in investigation. (preferred)Management system auditor qualifications (preferred)5 years' experience in a similar management role – civil infrastructure experience preferred.Hold First Aid CertificateGeneral Construction Induction Card (White Card) Selection Criteria: Planning, developing and implementing safety procedures, safe work methods and various risk assessments in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including but not limited to the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 & the Work Health and Safety Regulations 2022 and associated Codes of Practices.Managing, reviewing, interpreting and complying with a certified Integrated Management System (IMS) from a WHSEQ and HR perspective.Utilisation of cloud based WHSEQ management softwareProviding concise advice to the Director and management Team on potential legal, risk, safety, quality and environmental compliance concerns.
