About the role Based at any of our Head Office locations, this permanent, full time, Compliance Manager - Central reports to the Senior Compliance Manager with key responsibilities relating to supporting the further development, implementation and management of the compliance framework. The position will be actively involved in testing, reviewing, and monitoring compliance obligations within the division as well as assessing regulatory change impacts and supporting implementation. The position will also involve identifying and supporting potential control uplifts to ensure obligations are met, the preparation of regulatory responses and notifications, and supporting the division with additional training requirements that may be required to meet obligations. You will be required to research proposed legislative and regulatory changes and work with stakeholders to determine the impact on the division. Furthermore, you will support the Division in the implementation of new and changed obligations whilst providing regular updates to senior management about relevant changes to the regulatory environment affecting the division. A key component of the role will be providing operational and regulatory compliance advice in relation to the Bank's compliance obligations. About you To be successful in this role you will have: Essential: Demonstrated Compliance experience in Banking & Financial Services (Line 1 or 2) Experience in analysing and interpreting financial services legislation An understanding of the wider industry including legislation and regulatory requirements Experience in monitoring or assurance Demonstrated technical skills with well-developed expertise across compliance and risk activities Ability to build internal and external relationships to facilitate risk and compliance knowledge Strong attention to detail and accuracy Highly developed influencing and communicating skills with staff at all levels, including senior and executive management to convey big picture or complex issues We offer flexible work options that put our people first including a hybrid model with a minimum of x2 days in a local Head Office p/week This role is a full time, permanent role, based at any of our head office locations About Bendigo Bank With over 7,000 employees, we are Australian's fifth largest retail bank with a vision our purpose – 'to feed into the prosperity of our customers and communities, not off it'.
