About the Role: At EnergyAustralia we have an enterprise-wide risk & compliance function that is complemented by 1st line compliance capability embedded in our operating businesses.

The Trading Compliance Lead will support the Trading & Transition (T&T) business unit in the development and improvement of their control environment, aiming to prevent and detect any potential breaches of compliance obligations. This will include:

Obligation Management: Supporting T&T Obligation Owners to understand the obligations allocated to them and assisting them to manage their obligations. Risk Management: Assisting Obligation Owners to identify and assess potential compliance risks in processes, systems and business activities. Process Documentation: Working with Obligation Owners and Control Owners to document end-to-end processes; identify controls and drive continuous improvement of business processes. Controls Management: With the obligations and end-to-end processes in mind, working with Obligation Owners and Control Owners to assess existing controls to check for relevancy, completeness and that they address the compliance risks. Monitoring and Reporting: Monitoring compliance performance and coordinating incident management activities; manage T&T compliance governance forum. About You: This role will appeal to a seasoned Risk & Compliance professional who ideally has some exposure to the Australian energy sector. We would also consider candidates with rich learnings from other highly regulated environments, provided there is evidence of having exposure to diverse compliance regimes. Additionally, we expect you will bring:

Degree qualifications in Law, Commerce, Finance, Engineering or a related field. Heightened ability to interpret, review and translate complex regulatory requirements and apply them in a practical way to our business processes, system and governance requirements. Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation. Superior critical thinking to evaluate controls, identify risks and potential failure points in business processes.
