The Role:
The purpose of the Compliance, Governance and Risk Manager role is to lead the team and ensure the corporate governance, risk, and assurance functions meet requirements in accordance with internal and external regulatory frameworks.
This role is Full-Time with capacity for hybrid / WFH delivery. Responsibilities: Maintain the suite of corporate registers (not limited to risk, policy, legal & other contracts). Manage and coordinate insurance policy renewal and claims to support organisational needs. Develop and implement an internal audit schedule. Action constitutional requirements for members and directors. Maintain corporate governance calendar, proactively plan action to meet required timeframes. Ensure the organisation is adhering to all corporate governance registrations, standards, and frameworks. About you:

Bachelor in Business, Law, Legal, Justice, Human Resources, Management, Finance and/or other related area and/or relevant experience in a similar role. Proven experience developing and implementing an internal audit schedule. Understanding of constitutional requirements. Ability to provide strategic and operational leadership, direction, and advice to the organisation on the delivery of effective frameworks and systems to support good governance and organisational performance management. Oversee the implementation and review of governance and risk management policies and procedures. Lead and embed a positive risk management culture and practices across the organisation. Review and identify areas for improvement and implement best practice governance processes. Excellent working skills using the MS Office Suite. Excellent communication skills. Desirable Skills: Experience working in the not-for-profit / disability sector. Working knowledge of ACNC governance principles. Awareness of NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission practice standards and compliance audits. Understanding of the insurance policy renewal and claims process and ability to act as a subject matter expert in this area to support organisational needs.
