We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Coordinator to help drive safety, compliance, and risk management across our major projects.
This role works closely with our Operations and Maintenance teams to guide Curtin employees, contractors, tenants and trades in understanding and adhering to safety standards, risk management, and compliance processes.
In this role, you will be essential in supporting Curtin's mission to create a secure, compliant, and positive campus environment.
This position is available at a full-time, fixed term 2 year contract.
What You'll Do: Safety & Compliance Leadership: Develop and enhance safety plans, conduct audits, and report hazards to drive adherence to compliance standards.
Collaborative Compliance Management: Engage directly with contractors and trades to oversee compliance across Operation & Maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to Curtin's safety protocols.
Training & Support: Facilitate training for PF&D staff, contractors, and tenants to ensure full understanding of safety guidelines, policies, and processes.
Audit & Record Management: Perform site audits, manage compliance records, and collaborate with the Facility Officer to streamline reporting and compliance data.
About You: Qualifications & Experience : Relevant qualifications and experience within Compliance, Health & Safety and/or Risk Management, with a solid understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA) and related regulations.
Skills : Strong communication, organisation, and collaboration skills with the ability to manage complex tasks.
Advantageous: Experience in a facilities management role within a large organisation and/or multi-site facility with proven skills in risk and safety compliance.
Work Requirements: Full working rights in Australia.
Valid White Card.
A level of fitness commensurate with the requirements of the position.
Ability to travel to other campuses as required.
Ability to work outside normal working hours when required.
