The role is also responsible for support, mentoring and training of branch employees and sub-contractors in accordance with legislative requirements and Company policies and strategy.
What you'll do Develop and implement Safe Work Procedures in accordance with approved company policies and legislative requirements. Coordinate regular on-site Audits, with the aim of meeting NHVAS and all other instruments and standards in place. Conduct risk and workplace assessments. Develop and maintain site emergency and critical incident planning. Conduct plant fire and safety audits, hazard identification and accident prevention programs. Counsel employees on health, safety and training matters. Initiate and co-ordinate accredited training programs for occupational health and safety committee members and first aid officers. Initiate and organise education programs for all relevant members of staff in the areas of occupational health and safety, fire prevention and workers compensation. Ensure first aid supplies and first aid room are maintained in accordance with legislative requirements Ensure PPE supplies and register are maintained in accordance with legislative and site requirements Investigate the causes of incidents on site and recommend actions to prevent future occurrences. Maintain records of all injuries and illness occurring at the workplace in accordance with legislative requirements and provide statistical summaries of these records. Conduct all Company and site inductions for new employees, sub-contractors and suppliers. (Initial and ongoing) What you'll bring Working knowledge of relevant legislation impacting on the role and the business e.g., Workplace Health & Safety, Rehabilitation, Dangerous Goods, Industry Guidelines & Advisory Standards. Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills Ability to establish and maintain effective empathy and rapport with personnel at all organisational levels within and external to Team Global Express Understanding of Company organisation structures and associated reporting lines. Working knowledge of company policies and procedures impacting on the role Sound operational knowledge Good negotiation skills Ability to deliver training in procedures and operation of equipment/systems An inclusive workplace, works for everyone We celebrate difference.
