About the role We are currently seeking an adaptable and versatile Compliance Coordinator to join our dedicated Operational Compliance Team. This role ispermanent full-time, working 35 hours a week and will be primarily based at our Brunswick Street Depot in Lismore. Reporting to the Manager of Operational Compliance, the Compliance Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of environmental, regulatory, and business compliance for operational compliance. This position will advise, direct and support business area Managers and Coordinators with environmental compliance and when required best practice accreditation and safety compliance. Support team members in implementing applicable policies, procedures, and processes. Cultivate an engaged workforce that promotes a safety-oriented culture and behaviour based on safety principles.   Guide the team towards excellence by creating, managing, and overseeing financial systems, processes, and service delivery standards. Set and review financial benchmarks to meet budget goals. Spearhead policies and procedures for clear improvement recommendations. Implement continuous improvement plans to uphold expectations, legislation, and guidelines. Guide, support, and develop a unified and high-performing team focused on customer satisfaction and results. Encourage ongoing learning. Drive excellence by setting, maintaining, and monitoring performance standards. Address areas for improvement highlighted in employee satisfaction surveys. Cultivate teamwork, flexibility, transparency, and ethical conduct within the team. Empower and engage employees while embracing continuous improvement to enhance service delivery to Council customers. Exhibit strong communication skills to inspire confidence in both team members and audiences. Offer clear and concise information and provide tools for staff development, such as FAQs and regular meetings. Prepare detailed reports, proposals, and submissions for senior leadership and Council. Utilise advanced conflict resolution and negotiation abilities. Apply influencing skills to lead and motivate the team through change, demonstrating accountability, collaboration, and constructive behaviour.
