This role will strengthen our client's performance in delivering committed programs of work.In this role, you will lead the safety, quality and environment obligations for our client's South Australian operations.
You will ensure there is adherence to client requirements, contractual agreements and regulatory standards.
This role has a strong focus on internal auditing and delivering training programs to drive continuous improvement, manage risks and foster a proactive compliance culture.Location is flexible to be based out of Whyalla, Port Pirie, Port Augusta, or Port Lincoln, with travel expected to other locations and project sites as required.
This is a permanent and full-time role.What you will be responsible for:Conduct audits, address non-conformances, and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.Develop and deliver training programs, assess their impact, and align them with operational goals.Cultivate a safety-first culture through innovative training, staff development, and proactive initiatives.Lead state-based compliance activity by setting clear objectives, priorities, and performance standards.Identify operational and compliance risks, recommend strategies, and monitor the effectiveness of controls.Provide expert advice on contracts and build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.What we are looking for:Formal qualifications in Building & Construction, Work Health and Safety, or a Trade Certification.Proven expertise in coordinating and executing audits, analysing results, and implementing corrective actions.
