About the role The Compliance and Land Access Manager ensures GMA's compliance to relevant state and federal laws, builds and maintains important stakeholder relationships with landowners and traditional owners and supports GMA's continued license to operate from a regulatory, land access, social, heritage and environmental perspective.

In this role you will be responsible for: Provide oversight and support to GMA staff to ensure that current operations and future project developments, are compliant with State and Federal legislation.
Liaise with government regulatory agencies to define the necessary regulatory approval paths and maintain proactive communication with regulators during the regulatory approval process.
Assist in Contract management throughout the business.
Negotiate with landholders to achieve required permissions to access land.
Negotiate with traditional owners to achieve required permissions to access land.
Liaise with relevant regulators to achieve required approvals in a timely manner.
Identify improvement opportunities throughout GMA Legal processes Assist GMA Business units in achieving their production and budget Encourage and facilitate good employee/management communication and Act as a legal compliance role model, mentor and coach to site management teams, process engineers and What you will need Excellent ability to build professional rapport with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant mining, heritage, and environmental legislation and processes Understanding of the Mining Act Experience with landholder negotiations Excellent interpersonal skills Comprehensive knowledge and experience of the mining industry in Western Australia is highly desired Sound commercial judgement with a working understanding of project finance measures, capital expenditure processes and business performance.
