With offices all around the world, they specialize in offering land transport, air and ocean freight as well as comprehensive logistics solutions and global supply chain management. They have a strong focus on promoting staff from within and succession planning. Due to some recent and exciting developments, they are seeking an experienced Compliance and Industrial Relations Officer to join their team.
About your new role:
Some of the responsibilities will include but won't be limited to the following:
Audit, review, update and communicate legislated HR related policies on a regular basisProactively keep across any legislative changes and communicate this to relevant stakeholdersAssisting with employee investigationsProviding training to relevant stakeholders as required in relation to legislation, policy or procedure changesLiaise with healthcare providers across Australia and New Zealand to create RTW plans that meet the individual needsUndertake IR related investigations and make necessary recommendationsLiaising with external legal advisors as needed to address difficult legal compliance issuesRegular review of internal & external data to identify trends and implement strategies aimed at reducing workplace injuries and associated costsLead necessary workplace adjustments to ensure returning employees are accommodated appropriatelyAbout you:
Deep working knowledge of regulations of the Australian & New Zealand workplace to ensure the highest standard of compliance and care across IR, RTW and Workers CompensationExcellent mediation and negotiating skills, proven experience in effectively communicating with a range of stakeholdersSound understanding of local Workplace Labour legislation & Workplace Injury legislation and processesIdeal Qualifications: Degree in Human Resources, Law, Allied Health or related fieldExcellent communication skills with ability to provide training if requiredMeticulous data and record keeping skills with a high level of confidentialityProven experience in undertaking investigations from end to endWhat's in it for you:Permanent role within a Global Industry leaderCompetitive salary of up to $130,000 + SuperHybrid - 3 days in the beautiful offices in Alexandria and 2 days from homeCollaborative team and cultureAll Rights Reserved | West Recruitment Pty Ltd
