About the role

We have an opportunity for a Compliance and Enforcement Officer to be part of our Firearms Registry, Police Prosecutions and Licensing Enforcement Command.
The Compliance and Enforcement Officer assists with coordinating and undertaking audits and operations with Police Area Commands (PACs) and Police Districts (PDs) for the provision of effective firearms licensing administration and enforcement.
This role is also responsible for working with external stakeholders and other Police business units, regarding reviews and recommendations of Ranges in accordance with legislative requirements, approval conditions, technical specifications and risk-based assessments.
This is a key position in a team of two, who hold the responsibility to foster a collaborative professional relationship with Clubs and organisations associated with 'approved' shooting ranges in NSW.
The successful applicant must be willing and available to undertake travel throughout NSW as (and when) identified by the Manager of the unit.
