The Opportunity: As a Compliance Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring that the organisation adheres to all legal, regulatory, policy, and industry standards.
This is a key role that combines analytical nous with a proactive approach to safeguarding compliance and driving best practices.
Job DescriptionResponsibilities: As a Compliance Analyst, you will:
Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with Australian financial regulations (ASIC, AUSTRAC, OAIC) and internal policies.Stay Ahead of Changes: Stay informed on changes in financial legislation and industry standards to recommend necessary changes and take accountability for implementation.Resolve Issues: Investigate compliance-related concerns, identify root causes, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.Reporting: Assist with the preparation of compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with cross-functional teams to align compliance initiatives with business objectives.Promote Awareness: Support the creation and implementation of training programs to foster a culture of compliance throughout the organisation.Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout You: We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, analytical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced compliance-focused environment.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Experience in a compliance, risk, or regulatory role within the financial services or lending industry.
Non-bank lending knowledge is a plus.Strong understanding of Australian financial regulations, such as the National Consumer Credit Protection (NCCP) Act, Privacy Act, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) obligations.Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication abilities, and problem-solving skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.Highly collaborative, with the ability to work seamlessly across teams in a fast-paced environment.
