Position: Management (Information & Communication Technology)Tally Group designs, builds and operates next-generation billing and digital experience software that supports energy retailers to innovate without limitation. We are helping to reshape the way consumers buy, sell, and engage with energy as critical partners in the green energy transition.Responsibilities:Market Changes – Analyse and interpret energy market regulatory changes that would impact Tally Group products.Compliance & Product/Process Improvement - Understand and prioritise customer requirements aligned to compliance needs (product rules, legislative requirements, and process re-engineering opportunities). Capture and prioritise business and technology requirements.BRS Development - Liaise with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure requirements are clearly understood, translated, and documented accurately.Stakeholder management - Engage with clients to refine the BRS and facilitate workshops to understand the business goals and epic/story level details.Draft user stories - Write user stories ready for development. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, break down complex or abstract concepts into easy-to-understand stories and tasks.Industry Forums – Represent Tally Group at industry forums and update stakeholders accordingly.Risk Management - Manage the risk identification for new and existing services, new initiatives, strategies, and products to improve compliance effectiveness and address risks.Compliance obligation register – Maintain the compliance obligation register and perform ongoing assessments on the relevant legislation.Work to deliver specific outputs within deadlines.Develop and maintain domain expertise and stay abreast of industry changes.Experience Required:Experience working in a similar Compliance Analyst position.Demonstrated skills and knowledge of different legislations, e.g., NER, NERR, ERCOP, NERL, and NGR.Clear understanding of the Australian energy market and the role of AEMO, AER, ESC, ERAWA, ACCC, Treasury, CER, and Ombudsman schemes in the energy industry.Relevant experience in the energy industry.Strong analytical capabilities, requirement elicitation, problem, and impact analysis experience.Ability to consistently write quality BRS, stories, epics, and story maps.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to effectively communicate transparently and proactively with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to work autonomously.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment.Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and Business Analysis practices.Attention to detail.Key Competences Required:Knowledge of the relevant legislations.Role of different regulators in the energy industry.Australian Energy Market understanding.Business acumen.Stakeholder management.Qualifications Required:University degree in Legal, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent industry-related experience preferred.Why Tally Group?With the deepest vertical tech stack in the market and an unparalleled understanding of the entire energy eco-system, you'll work alongside and learn from some of the most accomplished leaders in energy tech globally.
