This means striving to enhance the skills of our people, building stronger relationships with customers, and leveraging the power of innovation and technology.The Compliance Advisor delivers compliance management activities, including advice and insights, to support the effective control of compliance risk across the Commercial Insurance & Personal Injury Function (Business).What you'll doWork with key stakeholders to embed, monitor and review the compliance arrangements in order to promote best practice compliance management.Being a trusted advisor in the delivery of pragmatic and commercially focused compliance advice to the business relating to business as usual, projects, regulatory change, and continuous improvement of compliance management practices.Coordinate with the Compliance teams to embed a regulatory compliant environment that adheres to Suncorp obligations within risk appetite.Support the business to administer the Responsible Manager onboarding and offboarding process, and monitoring of training completion in line with requirements.Collaborate with compliance teams across the group to share insights and promote continuous improvement and consistency of approach.What you'll bringDegree in Business, Law or relevant other field – Desired.5+ years business, regulatory compliance, or risk management in the financial services industry, specifically commercial insurance (desired).Proven experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders, including management.Experience in providing practical compliance advice within a financial services context.A demonstrated understanding of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework or an understanding of corporate compliance programs.Facilitation, negotiation and communication skills.Ability to interpret legislation, regulation and standards and to assess the impacts on business portfolio operations.What we can offer youSuncorp's employee benefits are designed to support, empower and reward our people.
