Kestrel is one of the world's largest producing underground coking, or metallurgical coal mines and produces around 7 million tonnes of metallurgical coal annually. Our coal is shipped to key markets in Asia and Europe to be used in the steel making process. The mine is located in the Bowen Basin, approximately 40km Northeast of Emerald in Central QLD. Our team's capability covers the entire mining process, from development to extraction and processing, environmental management and sustainable rehabilitation. We have an approved life of mine until 2033 and reserves to 2046 with the potential to increase further.

About the opportunity: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Administrator to join our site-based team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a residential role working a Monday to Friday or 9-day fortnight roster. As the Compliance Administrator, you will report directly to the Superintendent Compliance and play an integral role in maintaining and overseeing the compliance framework of our mining operations.

In this role, you will support Kestrel by: Issuing, reporting, recording and delivering samples for incombustible material content. Reviewing, distributing, processing and analysing weekly work order compliance for the Compliance department. Assisting with planning of training and maintaining training qualification for statutory positions. Maintaining site Mine Records. Supporting the SSE to capture and close out regulatory correspondence. Assisting with sign offs for Statutory positions. Provide support across site for compliance related matters. Providing general administrative support across site with a focus on our Compliance & Outbye departments. About you: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Acute attention to detail, high level of professionalism and demonstrated experience in a similar role. Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle a multitude of tasks and a flexible attitude towards changing priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft suite of software (Word, Excel, Outlook). At Kestrel, we are ONE.
