A single Affiliation structureA single Membership offering A single Championship and Events pathway.The NSWAP ensures the removal of duplicated membership costs and administration processes, while also significantly expanding competition opportunities and pathways for all members by providing everyone with the best that both LANSW and ANSW have to offer.
In conjunction with LANSW, we provide the framework for over 51,000 registered members and participants to enjoy athletics at all levels of performance, working closely with our 230+ member centres and clubs for the best interests of the sport of athletics throughout NSW.
As a result of this Partnership, our sport is currently experiencing a surge in popularity and in participation and performances and together we are poised to build on the momentum of this summer to inspire the next generation of athletes and fans and to continue growing the sport in NSW.
The Role Athletics NSW is looking for a proactive and organised Competition Administration Coordinator to join our Sport Delivery team.
Reporting to the Sport Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality athletics competitions to our diverse membership base.
In this role, you will take on a wide range of responsibilities, including handling member phone calls and online inquiries, managing event entries, updating the Athletics NSW website, and providing essential administrative support to the Sport Delivery team - all while ensuring a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities As the Competition Administration Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
Delivering Outstanding Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for the Sport Delivery team, offering prompt, high-quality support to members on competition and event-related inquiries, guiding them through the event entry process, and addressing any general competition questions.Maintaining Professional Member Interactions: Ensure all member interactions are handled efficiently and professionally, leaving a positive impression at each touchpoint.Managing Event Entry Processes: Oversee the setup and maintenance of event entry portals, ensuring athletes can smoothly register for NSW Athletics events.Distributing Key Event Information: Coordinate the timely publication and distribution of essential event details for athletes, coaches, and clubs/centres across multiple NSW Athletics communication platforms.Updating Competition and Events Information: Regularly update the Competition and Events sections of the ANSW website, providing accurate and current information for athletes, coaches, clubs/centres, and spectators.On-Site Event Support: Offer hands-on support at NSW Athletics competitions as needed.Providing General Administrative Assistance: Support the planning and coordination of events with additional administrative tasks as required.Key Selection Criteria Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong project management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to work collaboratively with other departments and external partnersExperience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityCurrent Working with Children CheckKnowledge and experience in events, particularly athletics, is preferred but not essentialAthletics NSW is committed to promoting and protecting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in our care.
