We are proud to be part of a consortium contracted to deliver the soft facilities management services (non-Clinical Services) at the new Footscray Hospital. You will lead a small team of HR and Safety professionals and be an integral member of the Compass leadership team at the hospital.
THE POSITION Mobilisation Phase: Assist with workforce transition, recruitment, and onboarding. Support the development training program delivery. Collaborate with People Support to implement record management systems. Ensure compliance with safety processes and culture. Significant contribution to recruitment across all service streams. Operational Phase: Handle investigations, complaints, and ensure policy adherence. Coach and mentor managers on performance management and HR processes. Act as the first point of contact for Union inquiries. Oversee performance reviews, training administration, and audit compliance. Support recruitment for talent attraction strategies and maintain staff pipelines. Provide HR support, resolve employee queries, and lead safety initiatives. Work with the leadership team in developing and implementing people and safety strategies. THE PERSON Minimum of 5 years' generalist HR experience, ideally in blue-collar or healthcare environments. Proven experience coaching and mentoring managers. Demonstrated experience with Employment Relations and Industrial Relations. Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related field are highly desirable. Willingness to obtain a National Police Check Clearance and provide proof of immunity for vaccine-preventable diseases. THE BENEFITS Multitude of salary packaging options available.
