You will engage with staff across ACCR to ensure the efficient delivery of our strategy, via project management assistance and research support. You will have had some exposure to decarbonisation-related policy, research or advocacy and are keen to gain further experience in that area. You might have a background in administrative, research, operations or project management roles, or have otherwise demonstrated the required skills - either way, you see this role as an important part of your career.Given ACCR's global work, this role will involve some work out of usual business hours e.g. 1-2 calls/week in the evenings. You are particularly interested in decarbonisation!ResponsibilitiesThis role will provide general operational and research support as needed across ACCR from within the Company Strategy Team. Examples of the types of tasks that are likely to form part of the role are:Managing the logistics, documentation and planning behind the execution of multi-stakeholder engagement and advocacy strategies.Facilitating effective communication across ACCR's teams on behalf of the Company Strategy team e.g. using project management software to share and track progress and deadlines, documenting actions in strategy meetings.Providing support in the preparation of documentation and logistics for shareholder actions internationally.Setting up and overseeing the logistics behind ACCR webinars, including attending webinars (sometimes outside ordinary business hours) to ensure smooth functioning.Carrying out research tasks for the Steel Decarbonisation Team, including tasks involving analysis of government and investor policies, company documents, and other relevant materials.Working with Operations colleagues to take full advantage of ACCR's tools and systems within the Company Strategy team.CriteriaYou may not have done this type of role before, yet we are looking for someone with relevant experience, including the following:Demonstrated skills in operations or project management, with some relevant work experience.The ability to learn quickly and accurately follow processes.An understanding of, or research experience related to, decarbonisation e.g. working for a policy, research or advocacy NGO or having completed studies relevant to the area. Experience relating to 'green steel' would be a bonus.Sound research skills, including academic or work experience with qualitative and quantitative research tasks.Excellent written English communication skills, with the ability to digest and synthesise reports and other academic material.An aptitude for using technology, with experience of the following tools an advantage: Microsoft and/or Google suite of applications, a CRM such as Salesforce, online conferencing platforms such as Zoom, events software such as Eventbrite, and workflow tools such as ClickUp.Exceptional attention to detail, planning, organisational and project execution skills.Great interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic, experienced and passionate team environment.Proactivity and agility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing workplace.The ability to work within a dispersed virtual team, including joining quarterly in-person team time and meetings scheduled out of ordinary business hours.A strong affinity for ACCR's mission addressing climate change, and our values including valuing diversity.If you don't meet every point above, please still apply if you can see your skills well used in this role.We are seeking someone who can work 70-80% of a full time load, ideally spread over Monday-Thursday.Accountable to: Company Strategy LeadKey Relationships: Company Strategy, Operations, Legal and Research teamsBackgroundACCR is a non-profit shareholder advocacy and research organisation founded in 2012.
