We are seeking an experienced, self-directed and highly organised Company Secretary to support the General Manager and Board in achieving the co-operative's objectives.
This pivotal role involves overseeing financial and secretarial duties, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining shareholder records, and supporting governance activities.
Key Responsibilities: Support the GM in achieving strategic goals and objectives.Assist in preparing the annual budget and financial reports.Oversee financial records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Manage shareholder records, including contractual and supply arrangements.Handle payroll and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.Prepare monthly financial reports and cash flow forecasts.Advise the Board on financial performance and compliance.Coordinate Board meetings, prepare minutes, and maintain legal documentation.Oversee the Group's insurance portfolio and assist with special projects.Preferred Qualifications: A degree or diploma in Accounting, Economics, or a related field.Membership of a recognised accounting body desirable.Strong background in financial and secretarial management, ideally within a co-operative or similar organisation.Leadership experience with the ability to work collaboratively.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills.An ability to undertake the full breadth of accounting duties.CCW Coop Limited is a small and supportive team, and the successful person will have the opportunity to be part of a thriving agricultural co-operative with a focus on growth and sustainability.
