About the companyOur client is a small business in the SaaS (software as a service) space and is based near the CBD (northwest corner) with great flexible working (one day per week in the office).About the roleThis 9-month fixed-term contract role is to replace the current Company Accountant going on maternity leave, with a thorough handover planned. The ideal start is mid to late January 2025.This role is perfect for someone wanting to make the first jump out of an accounting firm or someone who enjoys being hands-on in all aspects of accounting.The position reports into the CFO and is responsible for end-to-end accounting including managing the GL, balance sheet reconciliations, tax obligations, month-end reporting, budgeting, board paper preparation, auditing, and payroll (for approximately 20 staff).The role is also responsible for one direct report who is responsible for billing/AR.The main systems used are Xero and Quickbooks.About youCPA/CA qualified (will consider part-qualified)Minimum 5 years experience in an accounting roleExposure to SaaS advantageous but not requiredWith some tight deadlines, time management and attention to detail skills are paramount in this roleLeadership experience - ideally have managed 1 direct reportEnjoy working autonomously; you are curious and a problem solverHow to applyClick on the apply now button below and we will be in touch.Six Degrees Executive acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and live.
