MANA Youth Project Capel Sound, Victoria, Australia Ready for something a little different?
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people?
Do you believe in the power of access to creative arts, community mentoring, and personal growth through extracurricular pursuits?
MANA Youth Project is seeking dedicated volunteers to facilitate our MANA Akademy Clubs for the upcoming year.
About our MANA Akademy Clubs MANA Akademy provides a safe, inclusive space for young heroes to explore their creativity, build confidence, meet new friends, and develop skills through roleplaying games like D&D, collaborative creative projects, and immersive weekly quests.
Our clubs are designed to foster psychosocial growth, encourage teamwork, and unlock the hero within each participant.
As a MANA Akademy Club Mentor, you will: Lead weekly sessions for groups of young people (ages 10–21).
Guide participants through engaging session-based activities, school holiday workshops, and weekly quests aligned with the club's seasonal themes.
Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all participants, helping them develop life skills from creative pursuits, critical thinking, communication, wellbeing, and resilience.
Support the planning and execution of a Grand Quest—a collaborative adventure tying together the season's themes and goals culminating in an end-of-year exhibition.
What We Provide Reduced Cost in our 2025 Mentor Training: Learn about our unique Life-RPG Framework and how to use gamification and narrative-based activities as tools for personal development and experiential education.
Ongoing mentorship and support from the MANA Akademy team.
Opportunities to expand your skills in facilitation, mentoring, and youth engagement.
Access to all club resources, materials, and seasonal content.
The chance to be part of a meaningful and inspiring community with room to advance into a fully-fledged MANA Mentor.
Who We're Looking For: Valid Employee or Volunteer WWC & Police Check.
Enthusiastic and compassionate individuals with a love for storytelling, games, or creative arts.
A desire to mentor and inspire young people.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Prior experience in youth work, community service, teaching, or relevant fields.
Time Commitment 2–3 hours per week and school holidays (optional).
