The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in the Illawarra.

From sport to art, pets to gardening, walking to yoga, baking to craft, movies to music, coffee to crosswords… whateveryou love, you can share it with someone who loves it too.

As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for older people living in your community.

Our Elderly Client in Kiama Downs is seeking a social visitor, our client enjoys snow sports and chatting about anything related to the snow. He would enjoy the company of a "mate" who he could sit and chat with over a coffee. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with.

We're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of clients who are living at home. 

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer VisitorScheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote linksbetween elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements 18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week fora one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weeklyto fortnightly depending on your availability.
