Aboriginal applicants will be granted priority consideration for this vacancy.Primary Objective: The Community Transition Coordinator is responsible for providing an effective and efficient administrative support service to the NDIS Offender Services Team.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with briefings and reports, manage a shared inbox, triage referrals, book and coordinate meetings with the National Disability Insurance Agency and other relevant stakeholders.Assist with data entry and analysis to provide advice and inform priority referrals in line with departmental priorities.Assist with safeguarding the NDIS participants' safe transition from custody to community by effectively communicating and collaborating with the NDIA Justice Liaison Officers and other relevant community stakeholders.Maintain and develop client records ensuring quality documentation and accurate record keeping.Work effectively within a team environment by collaborating with colleagues across various business areas and agencies.Operate and perform all duties with cultural competence by consulting and engaging with relevant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees and organisations.Selection Criteria:Essential:Experience in providing comprehensive administrative support and managing communication channels.Good working knowledge and experience in delivering a well-coordinated administrative service.Sound knowledge in computer systems including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and records management.Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Aboriginal people and communities.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Knowledge of concepts related to working with people with physical and psychosocial disability.Working knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme or ability to acquire it.Desirable:Understanding of Corrections policies and procedures.Further Information: The Department of Corrections has a Smoke Free Policy.
