As a Community Support Worker in our Tweed Heads Hub you will play an essential role in supporting and empowering people with disability to live a life of their choosing.
Working in both a team environment and independently, you will provide a range of services assisting clients to live independently, be actively involved in their local community, and engaged in meaningful opportunities.
We have casual positions available; shifts may include morning, day, and evening.
Flexibility to work across those shifts is a must.
Key Focus Supporting clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through the delivery of a range of person-centred programs.Work to behaviour support plans by utilising positive behaviour strategies.Assist and support clients with personal and hygiene care.Maintenance of progress notes and record-keeping.Communicating effectively with families, to provide regular updates on clients' progress.About YouYou are passionate about making a difference!

You have a flair for creativity, whilst also being organised.
You will demonstrate the ability to engage, communicate and build partnerships with people.
Experience in the Disability sector is essential, ideally with managing behaviours.Demonstrated experience with personal care, administering medication and supporting high needs clients.Personal qualities of resilience, empathy and self-confidence.High levels of enthusiasm, initiative and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty and respect.Desirable experience with children with high support needs and/or SLSO background are encouraged to apply.Driver's license and vehicle is a must.
