The people who walk through our doors experience brokenness and are often suffering from homelessness, domestic violence, marriage breakdown, and financial stress. Each story and circumstance is different, however the one thing that unites these situations is the lack of hope.
Our team helps to build up every person from where they are, offering hope, care, and practical support that addresses all relevant needs.
About the role: As a Community Support Specialist / Client Support Worker, you will primarily provide high-quality person-centred care and support to clients in the Community Centre and assist the Manager and team in enhancing client support services.
About you: The successful candidate will have:
Experience working with people living with disadvantage and in high need communities Understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare's Christian identity and values Strong interpersonal skills for establishing relationships and building trust Ability to adapt to a dynamic and diverse community environment Ability to work individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary team Understanding of capacity building and the impact of trauma Commitment to WHS and Infection Control policies About Us: BaptistCare is a leading for-purpose Christian-based care organisation that supports thousands of people across more than 100 locations in NSW, ACT, and WA.
