Due company expansion, RAATISCC are looking for a committed, skilled and passionate individuals to join the friendly RAATSICC team as a Community Support Officer – Level 3 - (identified position) - Escaping Violence Program – Cairns and Mossman - (2x Positions)

Position Purpose:
The Escaping Violence Payment (EVP) Community Support Officer is responsible for supporting individuals impacted by intimate partner violence, specifically through the application and delivery of financial assistance packages.
The Opportunity:
• These 2 x positions are Full-time and based in Cairns and Mossman with regular travel required.
• Perform all administrative tasks associated with the position, including maintaining program enquiries to ensure timely responses, record keeping, monitoring and reporting.
• Identifying and responding to client support needs and barriers to access the EVP program with service users.
About You:
• Have effective communication skills, the ability to actively listen and challenge people, when necessary, ask appropriate questions, provide encouragement, and minimise the impact of negative behaviours.
• Contribute to and participate in organisational and community activities to advance the overall safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
• Be able to adhere to confidentiality policies and practices.
Applicants must hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working With Children Check (Blue Card) and a current Drivers Licence.
