The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference in the life of an older person, right here in South East Sydney.
From sport to art, pets to gardening, walking to yoga, baking to craft, movies to music, coffee to crosswords… whatever you love, you can share it with someone who loves it too.
As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for older people living in your community.
Spend time with an elderly lady living at home in Maroubra. She enjoys watching documentaries, playing puzzle games on her iPad, spending time with her cat, and her faith. She would enjoy someone to visit or go out for a coffee with in the local area. Your Impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

Requirements• 18 years or older• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30-minute to one-hour visit between 9 am and 4 pm, Monday to Sunday. Visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
