Community Social Visitor Volunteer, Hammond Care at Home, Scone NSW Hammond Care is an independent Christian charity specialising in dementia care, palliative care, rehabilitation, specialist mental health for older people, and other health and aged services. Volunteer opportunities are available across NSW, ACT, and Victoria. If you don't see an opportunity in your area, please call 1800 79 33 99 or email Job Description We are looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals who can sit and have a chat, reminisce, and talk about topics of interest with people in their own homes. You may want to spend some time in the garden, play cards, listen to music, or do some arts and craft activities. Or perhaps go to a local coffee shop. Do you enjoy puzzles and games? We're looking for a friendly person who would love to brighten the day of an older lady in Scone who is in need of some company for a cuppa and a chat once a week or fortnight. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the clients you are matched with. Hammond Care Hammond Care is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of the clients cared for by Hammond Care. Hammond Care is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. Requirements 18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by Hammond Care. We would be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one-hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday.
