Community Sewerage Program - Project Manager Are you a qualified civil, environmental or mechanical engineer with a passion for delivering construction projects which benefit our communities and the environment?
As one of our Project Managers (Community Sewerage Program), you'll play a part in driving positive change for the communities we serve.

This role reports to the Community Sewerage Program Manager, within the Asset Delivery division.
The Community Sewerage Program aims to upgrade outdated septic systems in Melbourne's outer northern and eastern suburbs by providing new sewerage infrastructure.

As a Project Manager, you will use your community-minded approach to project manage the delivery of sewerage assets, from concept design through to commissioning ensuring excellent outcomes for customers, communities, and the environment.

Your key responsibilities

Project manage the delivery of sewer construction projects, with a focus on enhancing the community, while delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Developing working relationships with stakeholders to deliver the best customer outcomes.
Carry out all work in such a way as to protect their own health and safety and that of their fellow workers, contractors and public.
Liaising with stakeholders, including members of the public, on project-related, sometimes sensitive, issues.
Responding to customer queries about sewerage services to be provided in their project area.
Proactively manage all facets of Community Sewerage Projects including delivery, working proactively with our partners, customers and stakeholders.

What we're looking for:

We are looking for someone with experience delivering construction projects, who is proactive, uses their initiative and takes ownership of solving problems.
Someone with strong interpersonal skills who will consider the sometimes conflicting needs of different parties and work towards a fair and optimised solution.
You will have an open mind to exploring new ideas, whilst staying on track, balancing costs and time constraints.
If you have the following skills and qualifications, get in touch: A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering (civil, environmental or mechanical preferred).
A great team player who is keen to support and learn from others.
A strong understanding of engineering procedures, standards, policies and practices related to water and sewerage design and construction activities.
Ability to quickly build effective working relationships internally and externally to influence decision making, negotiate positive outcomes and ensure business and customer expectations are achieved.
Proven experience in project management with a strong understanding of project management principles.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Hold a valid Victorian driver licence.

This full-time role is classified as an Engineer Level 1-2.5 Base Salary $79,069 - $116,951 plus 12% superannuation, depending on experience.
