About The Role Deaf Connect have an exciting opportunity available in Adelaide for a passionate Community Services Officer to support in our delivery of Community Access – an information and referral service for members of the Deaf and hard of hearing community.
Reporting to the Manager, Community Access, the role supports our friendly and collaborative Information Services team with a range of tasks that supports our community access service and programs.
Key duties include provision of Walk In and Short Term Goals supports, as well as responding to enquiries, developing local networks and working with the deaf and hard of hearing community to identify supports, information and opportunities that best serves the needs of individuals and local communities.

Main responsibilities of the role include: Provide and facilitate referrals to internal departments and external organisations.
Facilitate and expand informal and formal engagement activities with and for the Deaf and hard of hearing community Ensure completion of appropriate documentation and maintain accurate client records authorised systems while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
Understand and work within the relevant parts of the Organizations quality management system Ensure service facilities and other resources as required are available for face-to-face and virtual delivery.
