$ 92,332 to $ 104,762 + 11.5% Super Ongoing, Full Time We offer a wide range of flexible working arrangements to suit everyone ROLE SUMMARY: The Community Resilience Coordinator is an integral role within the Unit Support Team, responsible for developing and delivering community focussed programs to achieve the goals of the VICSES Community Resilience and Renewal Strategy.
Through direct engagement with the Victorian community, key stakeholders and Volunteer Units, the Community Resilience Coordinator builds the capability of our members including working alongside volunteers to facilitate community engagement programs and supporting the recruitment and retention of SES Volunteers.
The Community Resilience Coordinator plays a pivotal role in increasing hazard awareness and the understanding of VICSES public information and warnings and utilising their community engagement skills to lead the development of plans, programs and tools to build community capacity for flood, storms, earthquakes, landslides and tsunami.
The Victoria State Emergency Service plays a major role in Victoria's emergency preparedness, response, relief and recovery activities during emergencies for which it is responsible including Flood, Storm, Earthquake, Tsunami, Landslide, along with supporting other agencies and departments as required under section 6A of the VICSES Act.
In the event of an emergency, the Community Resilience Coordinator may be called upon to support emergency response activities following appropriate training and suitability assessment.
Out of hours work, including weekends, and travel will be required to assist in the response to incidents and the delivery of community engagement activities and programs and provision of support to Units.

To minimise the impact of emergencies when they occur and strengthen the community's capacity to recover swiftly and safely, VICSES focuses on working with communities and partners in building resilience to achieve more aware, informed and prepared communities.
We support them to understand their risk and the relevance of taking action before, during and after emergency events.
As the largest road rescue network in Australia we have specialist teams that provide a 24/7 response to road accident and trauma incidents.
We assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and play an important role in supporting the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) during major bushfire and emergency incidents.
