We are committed to ensure that all our people feel respected and participate safely within a work environment without aggression, sexual harassment, discrimination, and racism.Where you'll be workingPosition is based at the Brookvale Community Health Centre and cover the Manly, Frenchs Forest and Curl Curl wards of the Northern Beaches.What you'll be doingThe registered nurse works as either a Primary Nurse to patients within a defined geographic area or as a relieving nurse as allocated by the Nursing Unit Manager or as delegated.
You will develop your comprehensive nursing assessment skills and develop care plans with your patients to meet their needs identified.
You will provide the hands-on care to patients (including complex wound management; palliative care – support to patients and their carers, symptom management, end of life care; continence and catheter care; stoma care; support to the aged and or disabled or those with a chronic illness; plus much more.
You will liaise with the patient's health and non-health team to ensure the patient's safety at home and provide education and support to enable them to maintain their independence and to manage their health conditions.
You will also work as a member of an excellent and dynamic nursing team with support from a range of Specialist Clinicians.People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
Registered Nurse –Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers and a diverse range of health and non-health care providers.
Sound experience using electronic medical record systems and office applications, and evidence of personal time management capabilities and effective negotiation skills.
Current NSW Drivers Licence.
