All-access behind the scenes pass to the NBL Best seats in the house on game night About the Role The Tasmania JackJumpers are seeking a dynamic  Community Programs Coordinator  to deliver community programs across Tasmania.
This role is central to building strong connections within the community through school programs, fan engagement initiatives, and basketball clinics, ensuring the JackJumpers continue to inspire and engage Tasmanians statewide.
Reporting to the Head of Community, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, coordinate logistics, and represent the JackJumpers with enthusiasm and professionalism.
About the Company The Tasmania JackJumpers are one-of-ten basketball clubs that form the National Basketball League (NBL) competition.
Following their championship-winning season in only their third year, and the community impact they have established within Tasmania during their first four years – they are at the forefront of conversation for Australian Basketball around the state and across the country.
In everything the JackJumpers do, they represent the state of Tasmania with pride.
On the court, in the stands and in the community.
Key Responsibilities: Program Coordination:  Deliver JackJumpers' community programs, including: School programs in primary and high schools.
CSR charitable programs through the Defend the Island Foundation.
Fan engagement initiatives across Tasmania.
Stakeholder Engagement:  Liaise with principals, teachers, charities, sponsors, and partners to coordinate program activities and maintain strong relationships.
Administrative Tasks:  Manage program logistics, including emailing schools, setting up event websites, maintaining guest lists, and tracking expenditure.
Fan Engagement Activities:  Assist with family-friendly game day activities, such as face painting and mini-shootathons outside the arena.
Coach children and/or oversee event logistics for basketball clinics across Tasmania during school holidays, weekends, and after-school hours.
Represent the JackJumpers at community events with high energy and exceptional customer engagement.
Support other projects and initiatives as directed.
About You Experience in a community role, is desirable.
Go-getter attitude, strives for success, and enjoys the being in the community, including around children.
Organisation and administration skills, to successfully communicate with stakeholders and coordinate basketball clinics (eg experience with Microsoft Office suite or willingness to learn).
Experience in basketball and understanding of terminology and the ability to support basketball clinics.
Available to work flexible work hours, including undertaking travel around Tasmania and working in school holidays.
Has a current driver's license and own vehicle.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People check.
